Direct Line Loans
Direct Line loans come with a very low interest rate – typically 6.9% APR – and the online application is simple enough; however, it's important to read the small print. Direct Line loans aren't available to you if you're under 22, and the APR depends on your circumstances and the amount you borrow.
About Direct Line Loans
Direct Line loans are part of Direct Line's ever expanding financial empire, and it's no surprise to see a very competitive interest rate of just 6.9% APR, fixed for the term of your loan. However, the site is also up-front about its terms and conditions: no under-22s, holiday loans must be repaid within 2 years, and the APR you get depends on your credit rating and the amount you borrow.
Direct Line loans are reasonably flexible: you can borrow from £2,000 to £25,000 with payments ranging from two to five years. If you'd rather apply by phone that's fine, although the rate of 6.9% APR is an Internet-only offer.
The site is simple enough – although we'd prefer it if the front page was a bit more upfront about the pros and cons of Direct Line loans – and the application process is easy. Like everything else Direct Line does, its loans service isn’t particularly exciting but it's very competitive.
