Quick Loans

Why even the quickest loans can take time to arrange

Quick loans are all over the Internet, but you may still have to wait a few days to get your hands on the money. Lenders won't usually give you cash without a written signature, and both cheques and bank transfers can take several days to clear.

Quick loans aren't as fast as they may seem: while you can get an in principle decision in a matter of minutes, getting the money can take a week or more. One key delay is because most lenders need a written signature, so you can speed up the process by choosing a lender who lets you print off the application form at home.
Even when the lender has received your signature, quick loans still take time to arrange. A bank transfer takes around 3 days to clear, and if you're paid by cheque you'll have to wait a few days for the cheque to clear in your account. Some lenders will arrange same day bank transfers which clear immediately, but you'll usually have to pay a small administration fee for the privilege.
Another common option is to have a courier deliver the cheque to you the next day, again for a small administration fee. It sounds great but you won't be able to get the money until the cheque has been cleared.
